Welcome to With Her Nose In A Book, a bookish blog filled with reviews, readathon experiences, and probably tidbits about my life along the way.

First of all, a little about me. I’m a stay at home mom of an almost four month old sweet little boy. It was a nine year journey of infertility and losses to get him here, which maybe I’ll talk about in a future post at some point, and I am loving mom life and soaking up all the snuggles because I know it will go by so fast and before I know it he’ll be a teenager.

I’m an avid book lover. Like the kind where I would read with a flashlight under the covers late into the night when I was a kid. I was always reading multiple books at a time and always wiped the floor with the other kids in those contests where you tracked how many books you read. I vividly remember being shamed quite loudly by a boy in my high school forensics class when I read The Bone Collector in a weekend. I had a little bit of a lull in my reading when I was in my late teens and early twenties but have fully re-embraced the reading life (I’m 35 now).

I read a little bit of everything. Fantasy is probably my favorite genre  but I also love sci fi, romance, just general contemporary fiction and have recently been reading a lot more mysteries and thrillers, and even dipping my toe into some horror. Although I’m kind of a baby about scary stuff. I watch a lot of diverse Booktubers and participate in a lot of readathons and various challenges so I thought it would be fun to have a place to keep track of it all and post about it. I’m not super comfortable with the idea of being on camera so a blog it is. Does anyone still read blogs? I don’t know but I guess we’ll find out.
